Bondi Beach
Honestly, I didn't like Sydney. It was full of crowds, mosquitos, and homesick. So I ran away to the beach for a week!
My hostel was amazing. It's adorably themed and clean and across the street from the beach. Plus, I got a free upgrade and had a room facing the ocean. No joke, I woke up to the sunrise over the waves each morning. Best. Ever.
The view from my room 🙌🏻
Sunrise over Bondi Beach
While I was staying in Bondi, they had a skateboarding competition right across the street. One morning I woke up to the announcer yelling about Tony Hawk. Apparently he still skateboards and does a pretty good job.
The beaches in this area are all connected by coastal walks. You can go either direction for hours and find incredible outlooks, beaches, and rock and ocean pools. I ran (and walked let's be real) the 12 km round trip from Bondi to Coogee. That's 7.5 miles! Every day I found myself wandering back to the coastal walks and beaches. No wonder everyone here is fit AF. Runs aren't so torturous with these views. My photos aren't filtered; it's actually that perfectly beautiful here.

Icebergs ocean pool next to Bondi Beach. I could sit and watch the waves crashing over the pool for hours.

I grew up as a lake rat, but I could easily grow into a beach bum. Swimming in the ocean and relaxing on the beach every day with a good book is not a bad way to spend my days.
All I want is seafood. All the time. Even if it has eyes.
I ❤ Bondi!
