Great Barrier Reef
OH MY GOSH! YOU GUYS! THE GREAT BARRIER REEF! AMAZING!
Ryan and I drove up to Port Douglas, an adorable little resort town I wish we had more time in. We booked a day-long scuba and snorkel tour out to the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs in the Outer Reefs right next to the Continental Shelf. Our boat had about 30 people aboard and somehow the two of us ended up being the only intro divers. Majority of the guests were certified and there were some who just snorkeled. We had one-on-one time the entire day with our instructor, who (obviously once we were ready) took us a little deeper and through a little more advanced coral than the average intro-ee. He knew all the best places to visit and taught us - through underwater hand gestures - all about the creatures that live here.

IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE.
Words cannot accurately describe how absolutely beautiful it was down there. So bright, colorful, and full of life! The water was near perfect visibility and way better than I ever imagined.
We saw ALL the fish. All of them. Two white-tipped reef sharks, parrot fish, pineapple sea cucumbers and one that looked like a loaf of bread, barracudas, jellyfish, clownfish, giant clams, angel fish, rainbow fish, maori wrasse, trumpet fish, unicorn fish, drummer fish, scissortail sergeant fish, butterflyfish, schools and SCHOOLS OF FISH!! AND CORAL!! AHH!!
We are definitely getting our diving certifications.

The sign for awesome or good or yeah I'm still breathing.
Whatsup from the conehead. Every time I breathed out, the bubbles got caught in my hood.
Our new superpower: breathing underwater
GIANT clam

Nemo! Stop hiding!
The resemblance is uncanny! Hahaha
Pretty sure this is the Maori Wrasse.
