Noosa
After the zoo, I had a quick stop over in Noosa. It was a chill little beach town and I met some of the most fun people. One day we hired surf boards from the hostel and...attempted to surf. The waves were much larger and the board harder and smaller than how I learned. Sadly I only got one foot up once. Alas, my dreams of becoming a pro surfer died in Noosa.
After "surfing", I found out one of the other girls is also a designer, so we do what anyone would, and we burry her friend into a sand mermaid.
While I was there, there was a surfing competition in town. We didn't end up going, but because of it every hostel was over-booked. So much so that people were sleeping on hammocks and beanbags outside...which wouldn't be a problem...except that it poured. I refused to give up my bed inside for a discounted couch outside, but karma's a bitch and sent the largest spider I'd seen up to this point. A girl tried to catch it YouTube-style in a bowl, but it fell into the couch never to be seen again. Made for a great night of sleep...
Noosa was a nice break before the crazy of all the trips began. The town itself wasn't that impressive, but the people I met were friendly and awesome.
