Goodbye Melbs

Sigh. This city has been so wonderful. It would be such a fun place to live. But the trip must continue!

My final day began with brunch with my SMU friend McKinley at The Kettle Black. I had to try a Melbourne classic before I left - the flat white. But the main reason we came was for the beautiful food and wow was it instagramable! I ordered a chia seed pudding fruit thing. Not only did it look like a rainbow, it tasted magical too.

Apologies for the terrible lighting, but this is my memory not-a-blog. Don't judge me.

I rounded out the day with one of the most touristy things I could do. Ann-Marie and I went to the Eureka Tower, 88 floors up into the sky of Melbourne. We could see the entire city, the beaches we had traveled to a few days before, and the mountains in the distance. They even had an open section without windows we could stand in and get whipped around by the wind. All in all, a pretty decent way to say "see ya later" to this city.

Past that lake, along the coast is St Kilda and further down, Brighton Beach that I mentioned in an earlier post.
